Enormous Plastic Ocean and Plastic Beach in Washington

The National Building Museum in Washington has become the unlikely home of an enormous ocean of one million plastic bubbles and a plastic beach open to visitors who want to hop in for a truly bizarre experience.
The beach, designed by an experimental design firm named Snarkitecture, has a sloping all-white beach-front and mirrors to expand the space twofold, and there’s even a concession stand! According to the organizers, the plastic bubbles are recyclable.

В  Национальном строительном музее  в Вашингтоне появился настоящий океан из миллиона пластиковых шариков и пластиковый пляж. Пляж открыт для посетителей желающих окунуться в пластиковую фантазию и приобрести незабываемый опыт.

Инсталляция разработана дизайнерами фирмы Snarkitecture. Для увеличения пространства применили зеркала, их установили по периметру, а так же установлен помост, чтобы можно было стоят и при желании прыгать в пластиковые "волны".

 По словам организаторов, шарики сделаны из легко перерабатываемого пластика.
 Пластиковый пляж будет открыт по 7 сентября 2015, так что не забудьте заглянуть, если вы будете в Вашингтоне, округ Колумбия!

The National Building Museum hosts fun, interactive installations every year – in 2014, they had an enormous maze that visitors could navigate and get lost in. This awesome plastic beach will be open through September 7th, so be sure to swing by if you’re ever in Washington, D.C.!

The Corpus Museum takes you on a fantastic journey through a giant model of the human body during which you can see, feel and hear how the human body works and what roles healthy food, healthy life and plenty of exercise plays. The tour through the museum starts with an escalator ride into an open sore on your giant victim’s leg and ends among the pulsing neurons in his brain. Between those two points, you will watch cheese being digested in the intestines and explore the ventricles of the heart. Kids can bounce up and down on the rubber tongue (with burping noises in the background) while you take in various scents wafting through the giant nose.

 Perhaps the most unusual display is the hologram of sperm fertilizing an egg, viewed via 3D glasses.

Музей приглашает вас на фантастическое путешествие по гигантской модели человеческого тела. Во время этого путешествия вы можете видеть, чувствовать и слышать, как работает человеческий организм. Тур по музею начинается с эскалатора в открытой ране на ноге гигантского человека-жертвы и заканчивается среди пульсирующих нейронов его огромного мозга. Между этими двумя точками, вы будете наблюдать, как сыр переваривается в кишечнике и исследовать биение сердца. Дети могут подпрыгивать вверх и вниз на резиновом языке (с шумом отрыжки в фоновом режиме), а вы принюхиваться к различным ароматам, доносящимся через гигантский нос. Пожалуй самый необычным является дисплей, демонстрирующий в 3D-эффекте, как сперма оплодотворяет яйцеклетку.
